Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse 1 cup of sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions and mix in sushi rice seasoning.
  3. Cool the rice on the counter for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Slice crab and avocados into strips.
  5. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat and spread about ½ cup of sushi rice evenly on top.
  6. Arrange crab, avocado, and tempura shrimp in the center of the rice-covered nori.
  7. Tightly roll the sushi from the edge closest to you using the bamboo mat, sealing the roll with a bit of water.
  8. Slice the roll into 6-8 bite-sized pieces with a sharp, damp knife, clean between cuts.
  9. Serve with spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce, or sesame seeds on top.
