- Rinse 1 cup of sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak for 30 minutes.
- Cook the rice according to package instructions and mix in sushi rice seasoning.
- Cool the rice on the counter for approximately 20 minutes.
- Slice crab and avocados into strips.
- Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat and spread about ½ cup of sushi rice evenly on top.
- Arrange crab, avocado, and tempura shrimp in the center of the rice-covered nori.
- Tightly roll the sushi from the edge closest to you using the bamboo mat, sealing the roll with a bit of water.
- Slice the roll into 6-8 bite-sized pieces with a sharp, damp knife, clean between cuts.
- Serve with spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce, or sesame seeds on top.
