  • 1 package Refrigerated French Bread Dough Canned pizza dough can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash) Essential for a golden finish.
  • As needed Cooking Spray To prevent sticking.
  • As needed Aluminum Foil For shaping the molds.
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Cheeses Pesto Monterey Jack, sharp cheddar, or creamy brie for variety.
  • 1 cup Meats Pepperoni and salami are classic choices.
  • 1 cup Fruits Grapes, blueberries, blackberries, or strawberries.
  • 1/2 cup Nuts Roasted and salted pistachios or almonds.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs Sage and rosemary enhance both taste and presentation.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Roll out the refrigerated French bread dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into long strips, about ¼ inch wide.
  2. Shape aluminum foil into cone-like molds for the cornucopias and generously spray each mold with cooking spray.
  3. Wrap dough strips around the molds, overlapping slightly for a spiral effect, and finish with a twisted rim.
  4. Beat the egg with a tablespoon of water and brush it over the wrapped dough.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 325°F (160°C) and cook the molds for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow the cornucopias to cool completely on a wire rack before carefully removing them from the molds.
  7. Fill each cornucopia with your choice of meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, and garnish with fresh herbs.
