  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Can replace with nutmeg

  • 1 cup Gruyère Cheese Can substitute with cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free if necessary

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into approximately 1/4-inch thick rounds. Boil in water for 10-15 minutes until tender.
  3. Drain and layer half of the sweet potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cranberries over the sweet potatoes and whisk together heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Pour half over the layer.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining sweet potatoes and cranberries, drizzling with the remaining cream mixture.
  6. Sprinkle Gruyère cheese and breadcrumbs over the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
