  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Minced fresh garlic can enhance flavor.
Optional Topping
  • 1 tablespoon Cornmeal For texture and appearance.

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and rosemary.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients with olive oil, stirring until it forms a sticky dough.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Gently punch down the risen dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in the skillet.
  7. Cover and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the bread for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool for 10 minutes, and serve warm.
