Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Increase the heat to medium-high and add ground beef. Cook, breaking it up, until brown, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a gentle simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Meanwhile, boil water in a large pot. Add salt and cook spaghetti according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes.
