  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar can substitute with red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce tamari is gluten-free alternative
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil substitute with avocado oil if needed
  • 4 cloves garlic minced, fresh recommended
  • 1 tablespoon honey maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1/3 dried thyme
  • salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 pound sirloin steak can substitute flank or skirt steak

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, low sodium soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, honey, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk together.
  2. Cube the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the marinated steak cubes in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the leftover marinade into the skillet over the cooked steak bites and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.
