  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
For the Tortellini and Sauce
  • 1 package Cheese-Filled Tortellini fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning fresh herbs can be used
For the Topping
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or fresh mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Optional Add-Ins
  • 2 cups Spinach chopped
  • 1 cup Mushrooms sliced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add chopped onions, and sauté until translucent (3-4 minutes). Add minced garlic and stir for another minute.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned (5-7 minutes), then stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Cook tortellini in boiling salted water according to package instructions (7-9 minutes), then drain.
  6. Fold cooked tortellini into the beef mixture and add optional ingredients if desired.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
