Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Clean 1 pound of mushrooms thoroughly. Toss mushrooms with 1 tablespoon of oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread the seasoned mushrooms on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat, stirring until hazelnut brown.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of thyme, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
  5. Toss the hot mushrooms in the browned butter sauce and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve immediately.
