Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 cup Almond Butter Opt for a smooth, roasted variant for the best results.
  • 1/3 cup Honey Maple syrup works well as a vegan substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Optional, but highly recommended.
  • 1 cup Oats Rolled or quick; choose gluten-free if needed.
  • 1/2 cup Protein Powder Use your favorite flavor or vegan options.
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt Balances out sweetness.
For the Flavor
  • 1/2 cup Freeze-Dried Raspberries Keep pieces slightly intact for texture.
  • 1/4 cup White Chocolate Chips Optional; can swap for dark chocolate or omit.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • spatula or wooden spoon
  • Airtight container

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Mix the Base Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in oats, protein powder, and sea salt until fully incorporated and the mixture is thick and slightly sticky, another 2–3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate Raspberries and Chips: Gently fold in freeze-dried raspberries and white chocolate chips without crushing the raspberries too finely, about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Shape the Protein Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-tablespoon-sized balls, applying light pressure to shape them. This should yield about 16–20 protein balls and take around 5 minutes.
  5. Chill for Freshness: Place the rolled protein balls in an airtight container, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
