- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples with brown sugar and ground cinnamon, tossing gently until well-coated.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, layer half of the apple mixture, then top with remaining batter, finishing with the apples.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the bread once cool.
