- Begin by preparing your ingredients. Sear the beef chuck roast for 4–5 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms. Chop the potatoes and mince the garlic.
- Transfer the seared beef into your slow cooker. Surround it with the chopped potatoes and sprinkle the minced garlic on top. Pour in the broth and stir to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours. Check for tenderness in the last hour.
