- Pour 1 cup of water into a small pot and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the jasmine tea bag or loose leaf tea to the pot and steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose leaf tea, then lower the heat and add 1/2 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of ground cinnamon. Stir gently.
- Warm the mixture on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, making sure it doesn't boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey or your chosen sweetener until fully dissolved.
- Pour into a mug for hot tea, or cool to room temperature and serve over ice for an iced version.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or a vanilla bean stirrer.
