Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  3. Unfold thawed puff pastry onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle about ⅛ inch thick.
  4. Melt unsalted butter and brush it all over the pastry surface.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered pastry and gently press it in.
  6. Slice the dough into 12 strips, each approximately 1 inch wide.
  7. Twist each strip several times to create a spiral shape and place them on the baking sheet.
  8. Brush the twists with any remaining melted butter and sprinkle with leftover cinnamon sugar if desired.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
