  • 500 g Pork Sausage Meat Substitute with turkey sausage meat for a lighter option.
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced, can be omitted.
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest Can substitute with lemon zest.
  • 2 tbsp Mixed Herbs Use a blend of marjoram, oregano, basil, and thyme.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Ready-to-Roll Puff Pastry Store-bought saves time.
  • 1 Beaten Egg For brushing.
For the Toppings
  • 100 g Cranberry Sauce Can substitute with caramelized onion jam.
  • 200 g Brie Can swap for Camembert or Cheddar.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (or 180°C for fan ovens) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, combine the pork sausage meat, minced garlic, orange zest, mixed herbs, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined.
  3. On a floured surface, unroll the puff pastry and cut it in half. Spread a line of cranberry sauce down the center of each half.
  4. Form the sausage meat into a cylindrical shape and place it on top of the cranberry sauce.
  5. Layer slices of Brie over the sausage meat.
  6. Brush one edge of the pastry with beaten egg, fold over to encase the filling, and press to seal.
  7. Cut each roll into four sections and make small slits for steam to escape.
  8. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
