For the Topping
  • 8 oz Burrata Cheese Mozzarella can be used if needed.
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes Substitute with seasonal tomatoes if available.
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Dried basil can work, but fresh is recommended.
For the Finish
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin is best for drizzling.
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Glaze Balsamic vinegar can replace it.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your grill to medium heat. Slice a baguette into ½-inch thick slices and lay the slices on a baking sheet.
  2. Toast the baguette slices in the oven or grill for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and let cool slightly, then rub each slice with a cut garlic clove.
  3. Chop cherry tomatoes in a mixing bowl, tear fresh basil leaves, and add both with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil. Gently mix to meld flavors.
  4. Take a scoop of creamy burrata cheese and place it atop each baguette slice, letting it break open.
  5. Spoon the tomato-basil mixture over the burrata and drizzle with balsamic glaze and more olive oil.
  6. Serve immediately on a platter for everyone to enjoy. The bruschetta is best enjoyed fresh.
