  • 1 can Sardines packed in oil or water
  • 1 large Egg acts as a binding agent
  • 2-3 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour gluten-free flour can be used as a substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust based on personal taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper add more if desired
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika smoked paprika can be used for extra flavor
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs regular breadcrumbs can be substituted
  • as needed Oil for spraying

Cooking Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Pat the canned sardines dry and dip each into the egg wash, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Arrange sardines in the air fryer basket and spray tops with oil. Air fry for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip each sardine, spray another side with oil, and air fry for another 4-5 minutes.
