Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and pat dry the chicken drumsticks. Season well with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Sear chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, then sprinkle in flour and stir.
  4. Gradually pour in heavy cream and Dijon mustard, whisking until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, ensure it's coated in the sauce, reduce heat to medium, and simmer for about 25 minutes.
  6. Prepare steamed rice. Serve chicken over rice with remaining creamy paprika sauce on top.
