Step-by-Step Instructions for Creamy Homemade Ravioli Sauce
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add one finely chopped onion and sauté until it’s soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in 3 cloves of minced garlic, cooking for about 1 minute. Keep an eye on your garlic to avoid burning.
- Add a 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes and 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Stir gently and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you have cooked ravioli, add it to the skillet, tossing gently to coat.

Notes
Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to three days. Reheat gently and consider adding a splash of cream or broth if it thickens too much.
