  • 1 cup Frozen sweet pitted cherries Substitute with fresh cherries if desired.
Creaminess
  • 2 tablespoons Almond butter Opt for cashew butter for a nut-free version.
  • 1 tablespoon Ground flaxseed Can swap with chia seeds if needed.
Flavoring
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup Honey or agave syrup are great swaps.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice Optional but worthwhile!
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract Vanilla extract can be used for a twist.

Steps
  1. Thaw your frozen sweet pitted cherries by placing them in the refrigerator the night before or microwave for 1-2 minutes until soft.
  2. Mash the thawed cherries in a small bowl until chunky, allowing some whole pieces to remain.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed cherries with oats, plant-based milk, almond butter, ground flaxseed, and maple syrup. Stir gently.
  4. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or ideally overnight.
  5. Once soaked, portion the oats into airtight containers for up to 3-4 days.
  6. Before serving, stir well and enjoy cold or warm in the microwave for 30-60 seconds.
