- Thaw your frozen sweet pitted cherries by placing them in the refrigerator the night before or microwave for 1-2 minutes until soft.
- Mash the thawed cherries in a small bowl until chunky, allowing some whole pieces to remain.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed cherries with oats, plant-based milk, almond butter, ground flaxseed, and maple syrup. Stir gently.
- Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or ideally overnight.
- Once soaked, portion the oats into airtight containers for up to 3-4 days.
- Before serving, stir well and enjoy cold or warm in the microwave for 30-60 seconds.
