  • 1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough Substitute with crescent dough for a different flavor.
For the Filling
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Use mascarpone for an alternative.
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Any melting cheese can be used as a substitute.
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can also be used.
  • 0.5 tsp Italian Seasoning Omit or substitute with dried oregano or basil.
For Assembly
  • 1 whole Egg Beaten as an egg wash; use milk or cream for a dairy-free option.
  • Fresh Chopped Parsley Optional, for garnish; can be replaced with chives or omitted.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese Optional; substitute with any hard cheese.
For Dipping
  • Marinara or Pizza Sauce Any dipping sauce can be used.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather your baking sheet, parchment paper, and all your ingredients.
  2. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough and cut it into small pieces the size of a golf ball.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, and mix until well blended.
  4. Flatten each dough piece in your palm, add filling, and roll into balls ensuring the filling is enclosed.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the stuffed dough balls in the shape of a Christmas tree.
  6. Melt butter and mix in garlic powder and Italian seasoning, then brush this mixture over the assembled bread.
  7. Beat one egg for the egg wash and brush it over the top of the dough balls.
  8. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown and fragrant.
  9. Let cool a few minutes, garnish with parsley and parmesan, and serve warm with dipping sauce.
