Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add corn kernels to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 eggs, 1 cup of milk, and a dash of salt and pepper until smooth.
  5. Fold the sautéed corn and onion mixture along with 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar into the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared pie dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and lightly golden.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
