Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a medium saucepan, brown the unsalted butter over medium heat for 5-8 minutes until golden with a nutty aroma.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and sour cream until smooth. Fold in the cooled brown butter.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually pour this into the wet mixture and mix gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.
- Pour the batter into the lined loaf pan, smoothing the top. Optionally, add extra chocolate chips or banana slices on top.
- Bake for 70-80 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
For best results, use very ripe bananas and measure flour accurately to ensure the right texture.
